RESURRECTION ROLLS

Make one of these threats for each member of your family. This is a good activity to do with your children. The rolls will remind us of Easter. As you make the rolls, talk about the Resurrection story that is in italics.

You will need:

   1 package Crescent Rolls

   Melted Butter

   Large Marshmallows

   Cinnamon/Sugar Mixture

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

1.   Take a large marshmallow.

     It will represent Jesus.

2.   Dip the marshmallow in melted butter.

This represents the oils of embalming.

3.   Roll the marshmallow in cinnamon sugar.

Cinnamon is a spice. Jesus’ body was rubbed with spices.

4.   Place a crescent roll triangle flat and wrap the marshmallow in it—tightly sealing the edges.

Jesus’ body was tightly wrapped in grave clothes.

5.   Make 1 treat for each person. Place the treats on a cookie sheet.

6.   Place the cookie sheet in the oven.

The oven reminds us of Jesus’ tomb.

7.   Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let the treats cool. When you bite into them, the center will be empty.

Jesus’ tomb was empty on the first Easter.

8.   Enjoy your treat.

Be happy that Jesus is Risen!
