Women With A Mission (WWAM)
Each assembly period a special missions challenge is adopted and
promoted.
Church of God women are excited about reaching out to others and
enhancing their lives. We have made dreams come true by building
a dormitory for girls, medical clinics, a birthing clinic, and
orphanages in Brazil and Mexico. Through these efforts, women and
children have greatly benefited.

The goal for the 2008-2010 WWAM project is to provide funds to build a new three-story building as part of the Evangelical Theological Seminary FATEID campus expansion. The first floor will house a cafeteria and dining hall. The second and third floors will be dormitory facilities. Adequate on-campus housing will allow more foreign students to attend.
The Evangelical Theological Seminary of the Church of God or FATEID (which stands for Faculdade de Teologia Evangelica da Igreja de Deus) has been training pastors and leaders since 1961. Women have been vital to FATEID from the very beginning.
Four women from the United States comprised its first faculty Ruth Crawford, Janet Carter, Millie Crosswhite, and Mary Frances Poe. Six of the first seven graduates were women; the first Pentecostal missionary to Brazil was a woman named Mathilda Paulsen; and the current director or president of FATEID is a woman named Marie Rute Silva. The Church of God in Brazil has a significant number of female pastors. Many of them were trained at FATEID. Mothers are a child's first teacher. Women believe in education. Most public school teachers are women. We believe Church of God women will be eager to support theological education by providing funds for a building that will serve as a cafeteria, dining hall and student dormitories.
